Our customer, a leading manufacturer of surgical instruments, wanted an assembly fixture that would ensure internal components were present and correctly assembled, before the top final cover was assembled. We incorporated a vision system to perform several inspections, verifying part presence. If the inspection did not pass, the machine would lock out, and the final assembly could not be performed.
